We believe the videos we create provide entertainment, education, and inspiration to you. But they also create carbon emissions. As a result, we feel an obligation to reduce those emissions and want to take a thoughtful approach.
We offset the carbon footprint our videos create using the Gold Standard.
The Gold Standard was created in 2003 by a number of NGO’s to fund projects that reduce carbon emissions at the highest levels of environmental integrity. For more about the Gold Standard, visit this website.
For our part, we track our carbon contribution, multiply them by 10x, and support programs that reduce our carbon footprint by an equivalent amount.
Unfortunately, our decision to do this upsets some people; however, at the end of the day, it certainly can’t hurt. It’s true that many airlines also have robust sustainability programs, which help to reduce their carbon footprint, but we feel an obligation to take additional steps to do the same.
